Jill Kobliska is a personal brand stylist, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and creative force whose life has been shaped by one unwavering belief: that every person has something bold, original, and powerful inside them — and the world is better when they let it out. Raised on a farm in northeastern Iowa as the middle child of nine, Jill learned early how to find her own voice in a crowded room. That voice has since taken her from cosmetology and massage therapy to print work, film, and commercials. She studied improv at the legendary Second City in Chicago, trained in acting in Des Moines, and built a career that defies easy categories — because Jill has never believed in boxes.
As founder and owner of Lux Studio, she brings her signature philosophy to every client who sits in her chair: that true style isn't about what you wear, it's about how boldly you show up as yourself. The artwork behind Jill's collection was created in collaboration with fellow Kate Shu Collective STAR Artist Paul Rudy — whose stunning photography of rainbow-colored clouds became the perfect visual expression of Jill's brand. Light, color, boldness, and the infinite sky above. Together, their collaboration says everything Jill has always believed: that there is no ceiling on what you can become when you choose to be authentically, unapologetically you.
Kate met Jill at the gym in Des Moines in 2014 — one of her first friends after moving from Kansas City — and has never stopped being inspired by her ever since.
