Artist Paul Rudy | My Road, My Words Hardcover Journal
$19.95
We've all experienced moments when our words were misunderstood, repeated inaccurately, or used against us. When have you felt misrepresented — seen by the world in stark contrast to the way you see yourself? And perhaps more importantly, why? Sometimes the most powerful act of growth is simply sitting down and writing it out. Things often look entirely different on paper than they do swirling in our heads. Paul's My Road, My Words Hardcover Journal is the perfect place to sort it all out, write it down, and let it go. The road less traveled has always been worth it.
Paul Rudy is a composer, sound artist, and educator whose work explores sound as a medium for presence, perception, and deep human connection. Based in the Kansas City region, Paul creates performances, installations, sound-based rituals, and participatory listening environments that invite people to slow down, sense more fully, and engage with the living world around them. His practice spans composed music, sound healing, land-based work, and collaborative projects that weave together ecology, community, and care.
Central to Paul's work is what he calls harmonic intelligence — an embodied capacity to sense coherence, navigate complexity, and remain present within a shared, living system. He treats sound not as a fixed object, but as a living field that connects body, place, memory, and imagination. Whether working in concert halls, galleries, care centers, or open outdoor spaces, Paul invites listeners to become co-creators, allowing meaning to emerge through attention rather than prescription.
Paul is one of five Kate Shu Collective STAR Resident Artists and a treasured member of the Monarch Shoppe family. His journals are an invitation — to listen more deeply, to notice more fully, and to write the story that only you can tell.
