Artist Juli Accola | Pink-a-boo, I See You Hardcover Journal
$19.95
Show your face and surprise the world with your voice, your words, your story! There's someone out there who needs to hear exactly what you have to say. Juli's Pink-a-boo, I See You Hardcover Journal is the place to stop hiding and start showing up — for yourself, and for everyone who's been waiting to see the real you.
Juli Accola is a writer, dancer, storyteller, and creative force who has spent a lifetime proving that art is not a luxury — it's a lifeline. Raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in a structured military household where responsibility came early, Juli channeled everything she felt into two powerful outlets: dance, which she began at four years old, and writing, which she discovered at twelve. By high school she was an All-American dance nominee and news editor for her school paper. By college at Iowa State University, she was studying communications, marketing, and dance — and dreaming of a life built entirely on creating.
Life, as it does, had other plans. Juli fell in love, married at twenty-four, and became a mother to three sons who are, by her own account, the lights of her life. For years she poured herself into her family — supporting a husband who serves as a Des Moines police sergeant, raising her boys through their youngest years, and quietly setting her creative dreams aside. She even shelved her beloved fictional character Amanda Humperdinck, a short story heroine born in college, waiting for the right moment to bring her back.
That moment is now. After sixteen years as a dominant force in the corporate world, Juli is dusting off the keyboard, pulling those books back off the shelf, and returning to the creative life that has always been hers. She believes that in order to be the best version of yourself for everyone you love, you have to feed the part of you that creates. The Monarch Shoppe is where that journey continues — and where Juli's voice, vivid and joyful and entirely her own, finally gets the stage it deserves.
*"In order to be the best version of myself and to be good at all of those other things, I need to have my creative outlet." — Juli Accola*
Each journal features 80 lined, cream-colored pages, a ribbon page marker, built-in elastic closure, and an expandable inner pocket — ready to hold every word, every dream, and every colorful chapter of your story. Printed on an UltraHyde hardcover (5.5" × 8.5"), it's as vibrant as the life it's meant to capture.
