Artist Beth Grimm | I Come to the Garden Alone - Two, Hardcover Journal
$24.95
This journal carries the spirit of Alda Mae Hightshoe — Master Gardener, artist, and the grandmother whose last wish inspired Kate Shu to build everything you see here. A reminder that art, love, and gardens never really die — they just bloom in new soil.
Beth Grimm is an Iowa native who has spent more than 75 years loving and evolving her creative gifts — as a photographer, painter, writer, and innovator — chronicling life, love, and the natural world through art. Beth believes in fortitude, forgiveness, and that all good things begin in fertile soil, taking root and growing through the heart, mind, and soul.
After navigating a series of life's defining challenges, Beth moved to California, enrolled in law school, and graduated by 40. She spent the next 30 years running her own firm specializing in Homeowners Association Law, before eventually making her way to South Carolina to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Through every hill and every valley, the one constant has always been art.
At 70, Beth celebrated a milestone she'd long deserved: her very first Art Exhibition. Today, she lives fully and freely in her creative life. In her own words: "These days, I focus on relationships, creative expression, and being present. My days are filled with art, exploration, and noticing and recording the world around me. Create as if your HeART depends on it — because it does."
About this Journal:

• UltraHyde hardcover with a rich, luxurious feel
• Cream ribbon page marker and matching elastic closure
